I am a retired RN that has found watercolor painting as a challenge and a fulfilling hobby. I also have a passion for the out of doors and hiking. We moved to Leavenworth 8 months ago and I am in love with this area and all it has to offer through hiking and nature.
What inspired the artworks you submitted?
I recently took a birding course and fell in love with Clark’s Nutcrackers. Did you know…The Clark’s Nutcracker has a special pouch under its tongue in which it carries pine seeds long distances to cache them. Depending upon the species of pine seed, this pouch will hold from 28 and 90 seeds.
