Prior to joining ICCA in February of 2025, Monica was the Executive Director of Gallery One in Ellensburg, WA for ten years – an organization dedicated to creation, education, exhibition, and appreciation of the visual arts in central Washington. Under her leadership – and in collaboration with her community, staff and stakeholders – Gallery One has undergone a period of steady financial growth, with diversified income streams and the creation of an endowment. The organization has expanded its outreach to youth and in schools built on meaningful partnerships. A community leader and a champion of all forms of art, Monica was named the “Person of the Year” by the Daily Record, served on the Ellensburg City Council, served a six year position on the Washington State Arts Commission, and currently serves on the Artist Trust Board as the Treasurer. A daily advocate for artists, she holds a BA from the College of William and Mary and an MA in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
