Mercy spent her career in real estate development until 2015 when she moved with her family to Costa Rica. She and her husband, Canuche, developed Villas Espavel a small vacation rental property in the lovely beach town of Samara, Costa Rica. Mercy and Canuche enjoyed hosting guests from all over the world and raising their kids in Costa Rica, but in 2018 decided to return to the NW. They chose Leavenworth for the vibrant community and beautiful four seasons. Mercy & her husband continue to manage Villas Espavel from afar.
When Mercy is not running the books or interacting with guests for Villas Espavel, she enjoys coaching (youth soccer and cross country skiing), serving on the board of the Peshastin-Dryden & Alpine Lakes Parent Teacher Organization, supporting the arts with ICCA, gardening, hiking and skiing.
