Icicle Creek Piano Trio- Icicle Creek's extraordinary resident ensemble
Hailed by Gramophone magazine for its "warmly considered playing" and "shadings of exquisite sheen and vibrancy," The Icicle Creek Piano Trio members originated from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia. Together and as individuals, Jennifer Caine, Sally Singer, and Oksana Ezhokina have performed in venues such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Alice Tully Hall, the Phillips Collection, and the Royal Albert Hall, and have toured in Austria, Germany, France, Italy, and the U.K. Regionally and on the West Coast, they have performed at Pacific Lutheran University, the University of Puget Sound, Cornish College of the Arts, the Seattle Sherman Clay Recital Hall, the Governor's Mansion in Olympia, Benaroya Hall in Seattle, Seattle Town Hall, the University of Santa Barbara, and Davies Hall in San Francisco, among others. The Trio has appeared at chamber music festivals in Sag Harbor, New York and Walla Walla, Washington. Recent highlights have included performances of Beethoven's Triple Concerto with the St. Petersburg Chamber Philharmonic in Russia and with the Washington Idaho Symphony. World premier performances have included works by Marilyn Shrude, Wayne Horvitz and Orozco, and Washington composer Terry Hunt is currently creating a work for this ensemble.
The Icicle Creek Piano Trio's debut recording of Ravel and Schubert E-flat trios was released in 2008 under the Con Brio label, and was critically acclaimed by the American Record Guide, The Strad, Gramophone, Fanfare, and others. A second disc of trios by Haydn, Turina, and Shostakovich, released in 2010, has garnered rave reviews, including an endorsement by Fanfare as a "fantastic performance...a must for all chamber music lovers." The trio's recordings and live performances have been featured on numerous radio stations across the country, including most recently NPR's renowned classical show, Performance Today.

In other exciting professional developments for this extraordinary group of artists, Oksana Ezhokina has accepted the full-time position of Chair of the Piano Studies at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, where she will be relocating, starting in September 2011.
Sally Singer has accepted the position of Artistic Director and performer for Sankusem, a New York-based organization, which will present a second annual African Music Festival this fall at ICMC, amongst other Northwest venues. She will continue to reside in Leavenworth and perform regularly with the trio and as a recitalist.
Violinist Jennifer Caine, now based in Seattle, and Sally Singer recently recorded Lou Harrison's concerto for Violin, Cello and Gamelan in collaboration with Gamelan Pacifica, a Seattle based ensemble well known for their groundbreaking recordings. The Trio has continued performance engagements, received professional recording offers, and taken on other engagements as collaborators, teachers, coaches, and judges.
