Susan Butruille

A native Coloradan, Susan Butruille began her writing career with a fishing column in Petersburg, Alaska. Susan wrote three books in the Women’s Voices series on women in the Old West, worked in Washington, D.C. as a writer-editor, and has given musical-dramatic presentations across the country and in France. She wrote and directed Recipe For Justice: The Suffrage Musical Readers Theatre and co-directed and appeared in Icicle Creek Center for the Arts’ recent “Dangerous Women” production. She holds a Masters degree in nonfiction writing from Portland State University, and co-founded and co-convenes Leavenworth’s ongoing Great Decisions series.
